This was a special opportunity for Access Program students to experience the celebration of Thanksgiving in the U.S.
Students participated in different activities connected to celebration of this holiday: decorated the table and cutlery with napkins and leaves as symbols of Thanksgiving, prepared decorations for glasses and wrote and read Thanksgiving messages they starting the dinner. Students said they are thankful for the support of their families, friends, for being the part of Access Program, etc.
Thanksgiving menu included different meals and desserts such as garden salad, roasted chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, cranberry sauce, green beans with mushroom, pumpkin pie, apple pie, minced meat pie, cherry pie, etc.
Most of the meals were prepared by students and teachers, while Fulbright Teaching Assistants Ms Sydney Laseter and Mr Tyler Murphy prepared and brought roasted chicken, cranberry sauce and gravy.
Both guests and students enjoyed discussing the meals and the celebration of Thanksgiving.
