Black History Month with Aaron Mardis, Fulbright Teaching Assistant

The purpose of this enhancement activity was to recognize the most important events in the history of African Americans, to identify segregation and racism and discuss Civil Rights Movement with native speaker. At the end of the activity students were able to name chronological events during the Civil Rights Movement and to talk about the most prominent people of that period Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr.

Students actively participated in activities and interpret gained knowledge through presentations of their illustrations, timeline, newspaper article and press conferences with Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr.
