Access Niksic 2015

Democracy and Civil Society

Access Program students visited the Parliament of Montenegro and participated in Democracy workshops “Barbara Pramer” on the topic of democracy and civil society.
During the workshop students discussed about democracy and civil society, election process in the U.S. and separation of powers in the U.S. and Montenegro. They had the opportunity to learn more from the guest, Ms Leslie Freriksen, head of political and economic section of the U.S. Embassy Podgorica.
Students wrote and illustrated articles and developed their journalistic skills and enjoyed writing about the volunteering activities they had accomplished within Access Program so far.
Having a tour through the Parliament of Montenegro students got familiar with some parts of the building, the activities members of the Parliament do there and different souvenirs they saw.
