Access Rozaje

Thanksgiving Day

Fulbright teaching assistant, John Redos, visited Access students Rozaje on November 27, 2017. He talked with our students about Thanksgiving Day, its history, traditional food, tradition, values. Our students created a Thanksgiving tree with a lot of leaves on which they wrote what are they thankful for. They talked about the similarities and differences between Thanksgiving Day and holidays in Montenegro. They learned more about the US national cuisine and created a recipe for a Montenegrin Thanksgiving meal. At the end of the lesson, students wrote some really good acrostic poems about Thanksgiving. They were more than happy to talk with a Fulbright scholar, and eager to learn more about America and American celebrations.
