During this lesson, Access students were privileged to welcome and host Mr. Emir Prekić, the head of the City tambura orchestra in Pljevlja.
The purpose of the activity was to find out more about tambura, its origin and the tradition of tambura in Pljevlja and Montenegro. Mr. Prekić’s discussion with students and his interactive presentation were evidently engaging for them and his story about origin and tradition of tambura was accompanied by very interesting videos. He also instructed students how to play a simple accord on different types of tambura, and all the students had the chance to feel the instrument and play it.
