Think Globally, Teach Locally! in Berane

🌎 Think Globally, Teach Locally, Berane in elementary school “Vuk Karadzic”

📢 The second workshop with teachers from Andrijevica, Berane, Bijelo Polje, Gusinje, Mojkovac, Petnjica, Plav, Pljevlja and Rozaje was held today as part of the Think Globally, Teach Locally project, which is financially supported by the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica and implemented by ELTAM. 🧑‍🏫👩‍🏫

🌐 The workshop was conducted with the aim of training teachers how to apply innovative teaching methods and techniques through the teaching content of global issues 🌏 such as civic engagement, human rights, tolerance and inclusion. 🌞🎯🧩

👏Workshop was facilitated by the U.S. English Language Fellow Hansley Cazeau. Participants had the opportunity to get familiar, theoretically and practically, with the discussion method called the Socratic Seminar, which they will practice with their students over the next few weeks. 💭🤔📃✏

✅ This method is an important tool for the development of students’ critical and analytical thinking skills, and it also contributes to the development of critical awareness and soft skills – social, interpersonal and communication skills. 🗣🤝

▶️ We are looking forward to other project activities with amazing and motivated English language teachers throughout Montenegro! 🤗If you haven’t done so yet, it’s not too late to join us. We are waiting for you in Herceg Hovi, Ulcinj and Podgorica! 🙋‍♀️😎❤️
