Women’s History Month

This session was organized with the aim to revive the importance of women and their role through history with the guest – Ms. Siddha Page, a Political Officer at the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica. The discussion started with brainstorming ideas associated with Women’s History Month and a great presentation Ms. Siddha Page prepared for the students. Students were informed about the purpose of Women’s History Month and important women in American history like Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Sally Ride, Sacagawea, Kamala Harris, Beyonce…

The discussion was further developed in breakout rooms where they discussed key issues women face around the world and the ways we should act to prevent them; great women’s achievement as well as the importance of celebrating women empowerment through 8 March/Women History Month. Students came up with very interesting questions for our guest and the whole discussion was deep and engaging. Students and teachers were also pleased to have Ms. Jelena Vojnić, from Public Affairs Office in the U.S. Embassy in Podgorica in today’s class who took part in discussion as well.
